Another wonderful candle display.
The thing is, I waited so long to do this project, that we’re actually just in the process of getting ready to put down the real floors in there.. No more hideous yellow carpet for this room!That also means no more painted paper floor, but I still just had to try it out and see how it would work.
I couldn’t believe how crisp the lines came out!.If you need a quick and easy, dirt cheap, temporary or permanent solution to an ugly floor, this just may be the ticket!.Closets are impossible to photograph!Well, since Halloween is fast approaching, I thought now might be good time to share a little story about our house with you.
Who doesn’t love a good scary story around this time of year?.Once upon a time, back in 1900 when our house was built, it was just a little farmhouse out in the middle of nowhere.
It had only the middle tall part, consisting of (what is now) the living room, dining room, front hall, and the 3 upstairs bedrooms, which I think were 2 bedrooms and a loft area at the time.
No indoor plumbing..Let’s do a little before and after tour, shall we?.
So here are those scary dark blue walls I mentioned:.As far as navy blues go, that was a fairly nice one.
The walls were really banged up though and the color was a little too much on all the walls.Plus the creepy red curtains and yellow carpeting really did make things feel pretty creepy.
