Hopefully we’ll get some hardwood in here soon.. We don’t have any curtains hung yet, so we made this little banner as a temporary solution..
I just had to show you some of the progress and the excitement that we’ve been having up there though..So right now we’re working on installing the beadboard ceiling.
Here’s where we’re at.. Looks simple enough, right?Chris changed up the lighting so that we have two smaller light fixtures instead of just the one.I’m painting the beadboard, he’s putting it up..
Here’s what it looked like just a few weeks ago!.When we started this project, there was plaster on the ceiling and then some tile stuff on top of that.
Chris decided that just sticking the beadboard on top looked too wonky so every last little bit of everything came down.. Of course he had to go and do it the “right way” (someone’s gotta!)
so he put up some plastic and some two by fours for strapping.. Then he put up some foam insulation and finally, the beadboard on top of all that.. And now we’re in business!.keeping with the theme of clothespins.
I seem to have going on this season.This pretty much started when.
and I just haven’t been able to stop!.The whole thing was framed by a few extra cornstalks and it was good to go!…er stay.. Do you have a mantel you like to decorate for the seasons or do you just fake it like I do?
