Dessert Recipes Page.Oh, this dining room.
I created this fun giant vase/container/hurricane/whatever you want to call it as my contribution.. I’ve been on a mission to use up all of the plain glass containers that I’ve been keeping in my back hall “just in case” and I thought this might be the perfect chance.. I’ve had this big plain glass thing for awhile.I always thought it seemed so versatile and I could use it in so many different applications.
The problem is that I didn’t use it.It just sat there collecting dust.. Now I’ll have an occasion to use it every year at Halloween!.I cleaned the vase up and I gathered my supplies..
I used this small bottle of chalkboard paint from DecoArt for this one.I do have a giant can of chalkboard paint as well, but I love having these little bottles around for smaller scale projects..
I gave the whole thing 2 very imperfect coats.
At one point I started to paint a little too early and didn’t let the previous coat dry. This is one of my top choices, but then I was thinking of something like this for the curtains, so that wouldn’t work..
I really really love this fabric, but I think that may be too much on the biggest piece of furniture in the room..I think this might be the sensible choice.
I get the pattern I want, but I can still do the type of curtains I have in mind. But is the color a bit too soft?
